ACTivate chief retreat coach Angie

Angie is our ACTivational leader - she puts together every aspect of your retreat experience with energy and elan. She's a devoted cheerleader for Vale do Lobo, a place that's captured her heart over years of visits with friends and family, filled with good times and energising activities. Be warned: the triple whammy of Angie's passions - the Algarve, padel and fitness - is an addictive force to be reckoned with!

 

When not in Portugal, Angie is a healthcare PR industry leader who has launched two successful PR and communications businesses. She is delighted to have found a way to apply her business nous and organisational skills to sharing some of her greatest pleasures in life through these ACTivate retreats.

ACTivate padel coach Claire

Claire is mad about padel and dedicates herself to bringing players on at all levels. If you're not already hooked, Clarie is the woman who will ignite your lasting passion for padel. You'll be amazed how quickly she elevates your game. We're convinced she possesses some kind of hypnotic power that pushes you to play harder, hit better and get right into it at the front of the court. You'll leave every session fully ACTivated, with a big smile on your face.

 

Of course it's not just alchemy that makes Claire a top coach. She's an experienced LTA Level 2 Padel Instructor who works at two clubs in Surrey, serving up individual lessons, small group coaching and matchplay and tactical sessions to get players to the next level in their game. She also plays in the Surrey over 40s padel team and represented Scotland in the Four Nations for the first time in 2025. During the retreat, Claire enlists the best local coaches to support her, so everyone gets personal attention at exactly the right level.

ACTivate fitness coach Tanya

Tanya is a slave to variety and knows how to put all the feels into fitness. She's energetic, entertaining, multi-skilled and mega-motivating, both as a personal trainer and as a class instructor. She's also a lot of ACTivational fun! You'll laugh, you'll sweat, you'll stretch, you'll discover muscles you never knew you had... and you'll love every minute of it.

 

Tanya has dedicated a 20+ year career to helping others meet their fitness and health goals through group bootcamps and personalised one-to-one training. She constantly redesigns and refines workouts and programmes to keep her clients interested and meet their ever-changing fitness needs. She firmly believes that success comes from perfecting technique, helping clients achieve results fast and making fitness fun and varied.
